Announcing the Launch of JPP’s External Grants Database

Japan Past & Present is pleased to announce the launch of our External Grants database. This database provides a filterable list of more than 250 funding opportunities related to Japan Studies from all around the world. Whether you are a student, postdoctoral fellow, faculty member, artist, information specialist, representative of a non-profit organization, or other specialist interested in pursuing opportunities within Japan Studies, you will find many useful resources on this page.

Our External Grants database not only provides the ability to keyword search various grants, fellowships, awards, and prizes, but also allows you to filter the list to focus on funding opportunities relevant to your own circumstances. We believe that making information broadly and easily accessible is crucial in fostering greater equity among Japan specialists on a global scale.

While we worked hard to make the database as comprehensive as possible, including information about grants in all different languages, it will always be a work in progress: if you would like us to add a Japan-related grant (particularly in a language other than English), or notice that information relating to a grant we do include is no longer current, please reach out via the contact form to let us know.
