Waseda International House of Literature Translation Workshop 「日本語文学翻訳勉強会」

The Waseda International House of Literature will host a new study group to explore practice-based methods and theories relating to the translation of Japanese-language literature.

This group is aimed at literary translators, graduate students of literature or translation with experience translating from Japanese, and interested practitioners in related fields (including scholars, editors, writers, and others).

Participants may attend one or any of these sessions in 2025: 5:30 pm-7:30 pm on June 24th, July 22nd, August 26th, September 30th, October 28th, and November 25th.

概要

• 日時：2025年6月24日（火）より月一回、7月22日、8月26日、9月30日、10月28日、11月25日（すべて火曜日）の17:30-19:30。ご都合のよい回から、何回でもご参加いただけます。

• 会場：早稲田大学国際文学館

• 形式：対面

• 参加費用：無料。ただし交通費、宿泊費などは支給しません。

• 定員：十数名

• 参加資格：

  • 日本語で書かれた文学の翻訳者

  • 
日本語の文学や翻訳を研究対象とし、翻訳も実践している大学院生

  • 
研究者、出版関係者、文筆家など、その他の方もお問い合わせください

• 目的：日本語の文学翻訳の方法や理論の実践に基づいた研究

• 方法：参加者のプレゼンや他の資料を用いたディスカッション

• 使用言語：日本語と英語の両方。ただし英語以外の言語に翻訳する方の参加も可能
